I believe in facilitating and fostering the resiliency of individuals and couples in a non-judgmental, unbiased and open fashion. I direct my attention to the patient(s) feeling secure in expressing any anxiety, fear, depression or feelings of incompatibility; I encourage honesty, openness and sharing in working toward conflict resolution. Together, we devise a mutually-acceptable plan of treatment. The goal is to optimize the quality of my patient(s) life based on the comfort of known quantities and translatable to their individual setting. I expect that each patient has a unique set of life experiences and expectations.
I provide comprehensive services to individuals and couples dealing with stress, transitions or persistent psychological issues. I combine my training in the traditional psychoanalytic modality with Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) for individuals; and, I use the model of Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) with couples. This latter model has shown to be one of the most effective modes of therapy for couples work. I start where the patient is most comfortable and direct the treatment plan according to the patient's needs.
