"I can't thank you enough. Your web site is such an incredible resource. I only wish I had found it earlier..."

Irene A.

"I have to say that I am most impressed with your site. As I told you I had "googled" and "yahooed" for this information but found nothing that compared to your database... My search was becoming very stressful and I wish to thank you for relieving that stress."

Janet S.

Robert S. Berger, Ph.D., LCSW-R

Last Updated: 01/08/2012

I am a doctoral-level clinical social worker, with offices in Manhattan and in the Riverdale section of the Bronx.  Since 1986, I have taught at NYU Silver School of Social Work, where I am, at present, an Adjunct Associate Professor.  My approach is psychoanalytic and psychodynamic.  I try to provide a space where we can work together to explore, understand and deal with the issues and concerns you have struggled with.  The psychotherapy relationship offers us a chance to clarify conflicts and issues, take risks and make efforts to deal with what has been difficult, charged and confounding.  Working with an "other" is a road to seeing more clearly who we are and what we are dealing with.
