I am a warm, supportive therapist, with an interactive style. I use eclectic integrative methods including dream analysis, gestalt, and EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing), to help move through blocks and accelerate the healing process. My clients have shown courage and resilience in coping with multiple losses, but now they need help with overwhelming feelings and the compounded effect on their relationships, careers, and happiness. I guide my clients through the complex tasks of mourning whether it be parental, sibling, or spousal loss, miscarriage, or divorce, to reclaim their sense of wholeness. My expertise is in treating grief and loss, depression, anxiety, creativity blocks, performance anxiety, sexual abuse, parental alcoholism, codependency, divorce, trauma, and relationship issues.
Another focus is on helping people resolve relationship conflicts (possibly stemming from family of origin issues) in order to improve their capacity for healthy, satisfying connection. My background in the arts lends a special sensitivity and understanding of the challenges creative professionals face. I also volunteer with the Give An Hour organization for the military and their families.
