The Trauma Center at Justice Resource Institute’s mission is to help individuals, families and communities that have been impacted by trauma and adversity to re-establish a sense of safety and predictability in the world, and to provide them with state-of-the-art therapeutic care as they reclaim, rebuild and renew their lives. The Trauma Center in Brookline and Acton, MA offer an extensive menu of services and intervention methods to meet the needs of those impacted by the continuum of trauma exposure, from acute incidents such as accidents and assaults to chronic experiences of child abuse, neglect, and traumatic loss. Our innovative treatment honors and expands client strengths and resources, and attends to core components of safety and self-regulation, traumatic memory processing, and reconnection with self and others. We specialize in assessing and treating of Posttraumatic Stress Disorder, Complex PTSD, Developmental Trauma Disorder, Dissociative disorders and related conditions and difficulties. We provide individual (for all ages), family, and group therapy, parent training/coaching, and consultation to foster and adoptive families. We also offer supervision and consultation to postgraduate mental health professionals. In addition, we conduct comprehensive trauma evaluations for children and adults, as well as trauma-informed psychological and neuropsychological testing.
