"I can't thank you enough. Your web site is such an incredible resource. I only wish I had found it earlier..."

Irene A.

"I have to say that I am most impressed with your site. As I told you I had "googled" and "yahooed" for this information but found nothing that compared to your database... My search was becoming very stressful and I wish to thank you for relieving that stress."

Janet S.

Jessica Schwartz, LICSW

Last Updated: 05/06/2012

Licensed Clinical Social Worker

I have been practicing psychotherapy for over thirty years.  I consider it an honor to be entrusted by my clients as they share their story and work through issues of daily life and transition.  I specialize in assisting adult clients who are both anxious and depressed around relationship conflict, divorce, parenting, grief, LGBT issues, self-esteem and Adult Children of Alcoholics and Abuse.

In a typical session with me I will teach specific skills and tools to manage emotions and situations.  This can include learning communication skills, (such as assertiveness) cognitive behavioral techniques, (changing thoughts and behavior) relaxation techniques, homework assignments and readings.

I am known for helping my clients with an approach that is empathetic yet direct and active. I believe in engaging my clients in conversation not sitting in slience.  I also believe that humor is a universal healer!
