Melanie has many years of experience working within the mental health community, both inpatient and outpatient, specializing in severe and persistant mental illness and aging issues. She has served the gay, lesbian, bisexual, and transgendered community for 20 years, helping people within and with out a community. Melanie's office is located in quiant Cocoa Village, where you can walk through the park, sit by the river, or stroll by the shops and restaurants. Melanie offers clinical supervision for Florida state licensure, offers support groups for g/l/b/t community, offers affirmative, supportive, cognitive/behavioral therapy for individuals and couples. Melanie has done many workshops and presentations on g/l/b/t-related issues, both at the Florida state level and local community level. Melanie has worked in the aging community, helping families and individuals suffering with dementia-related issues. Melanie is certified as a guardianship evaluation committee member, certified by the Academy of Social Workers, and she is a member of NASW.
