"I can't thank you enough. Your web site is such an incredible resource. I only wish I had found it earlier..."

Irene A.

"I have to say that I am most impressed with your site. As I told you I had "googled" and "yahooed" for this information but found nothing that compared to your database... My search was becoming very stressful and I wish to thank you for relieving that stress."

Janet S.

Kathleen Blake Thompson, LCSW, M.Div., MSW

Last Updated: 04/26/2012

Licensed Clinical Social Worker

Pastoral Counseling (Chaplain)

Your connection to the therapist is just as important as a therapist's credentials, experience, philosopy and style. My suggestion:  call everyone on this list until you find someone with whom you feel a comfortable connection on the telephone (if you do not achieve it on the phone, you are probably not going to achieve it in person!).  THEN make an appointment and get started working on those worries that brought you to this webiste!

I am compassionate, supportive, encouraging and gently cajoling when necessary.  My practice focuses on individuals and couples.  I have a special interest in addiction -- how it affects the individual and family members and in working with people in transition.  I am trained in various therapeutic modalities -- one size does not fit everyone, nor does one type of therapy. I am also an ordained minister and hospital chaplain if spirituality is an area you would like to explore.  I look forward to meeting new clients and believe that much can be accomplished in fairly short order.
