"I can't thank you enough. Your web site is such an incredible resource. I only wish I had found it earlier..."

Irene A.

"I have to say that I am most impressed with your site. As I told you I had "googled" and "yahooed" for this information but found nothing that compared to your database... My search was becoming very stressful and I wish to thank you for relieving that stress."

Janet S.

Licensed Clinical Social Worker

When someone considers starting therapy, it may be for any number of different reasons: relationship issues, job loss/change, grief and loss, mood changes, aging parents, managing stress, etc. Whatever the reason or trigger event, it can be helpful to navigate these changes or challenges with a therapist.

BRINGING TOGETHER ART AND SCIENCE is a statement that reflects how I work. My clinical practice with adults, adolescents and couples has a theoretical grounding in attachment theory, developmental/complex trauma, cognitive behavioral theory, psychodynamic theory and cultural competency. My clinical practice also integrates emerging neuroscience research about the brain and how childhood and family experiences, including trauma, affects the brain and becomes the blueprint for subsequent relationships throughout our lives.

But my clinical practice also has a human and artistic element in terms of how this knowledge and theoretical frameworks are applied. Everyone is different and unique and I do not practice from a one-size-fits-all approach.

Here is my basic philosophy of therapyself-reflection + gaining insight + applying one or more specific models/approaches of making change + courage + relationship with a therapist = the ability to make change in your life.

If you would like to make an appointment, or have a brief phone consultation, to talk about how we might work together, please call me at 612-875-1121 and leave a message.
