"I can't thank you enough. Your web site is such an incredible resource. I only wish I had found it earlier..."

Irene A.

"I have to say that I am most impressed with your site. As I told you I had "googled" and "yahooed" for this information but found nothing that compared to your database... My search was becoming very stressful and I wish to thank you for relieving that stress."

Janet S.

Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker

Are you struggling with worry, sadness, and school/job or relationship issues?  Are you dealing with self-injury and suicidal thoughts?  Are you feeling so overwhelmed juggling work, aging parents, and a troubled teenager?  Are you dealing with divorce or loss of loved one?

I have ten years of experience working with adolescents (grades 6-12), adults and families.  I primarily treat adolescents and adults with anxiety, depression, self injury, and borderline personality traits/disorder.  When treating adolescents, my approach includes the family for purpose of support, education, and strengthening skill development.  I also work with adults and families dealing with issues of divorce and loss of a loved one.

I’m extensively trained in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), which helps clients accept one’s emotions and behaviors while moving towards change.  DBT uses meditation-like practices and helps people stay in the present moment, become less judgmental, and more effective in dealing with painful emotions and relationships.

You can reach me at 617-639-0566 or becky@beckykosterman.com.  I look forward to talking with you.
