"I can't thank you enough. Your web site is such an incredible resource. I only wish I had found it earlier..."

Irene A.

"I have to say that I am most impressed with your site. As I told you I had "googled" and "yahooed" for this information but found nothing that compared to your database... My search was becoming very stressful and I wish to thank you for relieving that stress."

Janet S.

Licensed Clinical Social Worker

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with many years of experience. I provide individual counseling from my office in downtown Evanston, IL. where I deal with diverse problems experienced by people from all walks of life. My areas of expertise include working with life transitions, grief and loss, depression and anxiety, substance use and abuse, living with a chronic illness, and issues affecting older adults and their families. In addition to my private practice, I also work for an agency that serves the needs of older adults. My caring and collaborative approach utilizes your strengths to address life’s challenges. Of primary importance is establishing a supportive relationship built on mutual trust. I find that a holistic, integrative framework is most effective in its ability to heal, transform lives, and create overall wellness. Psychodynamic and relational theories inform my work as they address the conscious and unconscious patterns and interpersonal challenges that affect many of us. Because I work from an integrative framework, I may suggest dietary adjustment, exercise, breath work, or relaxation treatment as part of our work together. These changes may be needed as part of a whole-person focus on reducing stress and discomfort, improving mood, and moving towards a happier and more fulfilling life.
