"I can't thank you enough. Your web site is such an incredible resource. I only wish I had found it earlier..."

Irene A.

"I have to say that I am most impressed with your site. As I told you I had "googled" and "yahooed" for this information but found nothing that compared to your database... My search was becoming very stressful and I wish to thank you for relieving that stress."

Janet S.

Sara M. Ellingson, LICSW, BCD

Last Updated: 02/09/2012

I have had a variety of experiences working inpatient and outpatient mental health, inpatient and outpatient chemical dependency (not currently certified addiction specialist), community education ---divorce adjustment, parenting classes, assertiveness training.

I am a Board Certified Diplomate in Clinical Social Work.

I have been in private practice since 1981.  I have 36 years of clinical experience with theoretical frameworks from psychodynamic to the mindfulness theories.  I use many theoretical frameworks in developing an eclectic approach designed to best meet the needs of my clients.

I have had success with children experiencing anxiety disorders and help parents with guiding their children through relaxation techniques.

High conflict divorce creates many stressful scenarios for children and I am availablle to help both parents and children through the difficult dissolution processes.  I am also available to train other professionals in this work.
