"I can't thank you enough. Your web site is such an incredible resource. I only wish I had found it earlier..."

Irene A.

"I have to say that I am most impressed with your site. As I told you I had "googled" and "yahooed" for this information but found nothing that compared to your database... My search was becoming very stressful and I wish to thank you for relieving that stress."

Janet S.

Oona Metz, LICSW

Last Updated: 03/20/2012

Licensed Clinical Social Worker

For the last 18 years, I have worked with adults and adolescents on a variety of issues including depression, anxiety, sexuality, trauma, loss and grief.  Through exploration and collaboration, we will work together to make your life more rewarding and fulfilling.

Exploring how past experiences impact current emotions, thoughts and behavioral patterns enriches the work and can provide greater clarity. It is of the utmost importance to me that we create a space that is safe for you to explore and challenge yourself.

My clinical focus is diverse; I particularly enjoy working with women who are in transition.Whether transitioning from college to graduate school or work, beginning or ending a relationship or job, becoming a parent or an empty nester, these moments offer an opportunity for reflection, deeper understanding and meaningful change.

In addition to seeing clients individually, I also run four groups in my practice. In my Arlington office I am currently offering two Divorce Support Groups for Women, one on Wednesday evenings and one on Friday mornings. In my Brookline office, I am offering a Divorce Support Group for Women and an Interpersonal Women's Group for 25-40 year old women who want to focus on relationship issues.
