"I can't thank you enough. Your web site is such an incredible resource. I only wish I had found it earlier..."

Irene A.

"I have to say that I am most impressed with your site. As I told you I had "googled" and "yahooed" for this information but found nothing that compared to your database... My search was becoming very stressful and I wish to thank you for relieving that stress."

Janet S.

Last Updated: 01/28/2012

Licensed school social worker and independent clinical social worker.

One of my co-therapists, Viola, a Norwegian Fjord Horse.  My other co-therapists and co-educators are dogs, horses, donkeys, llamas, goats, chickens, and rabbits, and my "office" is the barn, the pastures, and being surrounded by healing, natural spaces.

Harmony ~ Balance ~ Well-being

When I am naturally connected, I am happy, confident, at peace.

For many people at any given moment in life, it can be a struggle to get through the day.  The mission of Natural Connections Learning Center is to cultivate life skills through building restorative connections with animals, nature, and expressive arts.

RESTORATIVE CONNECTIONS through NATURAL CONNECTIONS

Current research shows natural connections – activities in nature and with animals – increases self-esteem, reduces stress, invites creative thinking and problem solving where one feels safe, and gets people physically active.

NCLC’s programs and services are experiential - hands-on and learning through doing – whereby participants are actively engaged in a direct experience of developing a relationship with animals, such as horses, dogs, llamas, and chickens.  Through these experiences, participants gain powerful insights into personal behaviors, thought patterns and unconscious reactions.  The learning and change comes from identifying these insights, seeing how behaviors effect another being that is non-human, and discovering methods of working together in a more effective and mindful fashion.
