"I can't thank you enough. Your web site is such an incredible resource. I only wish I had found it earlier..."

Irene A.

"I have to say that I am most impressed with your site. As I told you I had "googled" and "yahooed" for this information but found nothing that compared to your database... My search was becoming very stressful and I wish to thank you for relieving that stress."

Janet S.

Timothy F. Dugan, MD

Last Updated: 08/21/2010

M.D., Psychoanalyst, Adult Psychiatrist, and Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist.

I am a psychiatrist (Adult, Child and Adolescent), in private practice in Lexington, MA.  I specialize in individual psychotherapy, family therapy, and psychoanalysis.  While I am happy to prescribe medications when needed, I would consider myself quite conservative in that area; and typically will prescribe medication only when I am also providing the necessry psychotherapy for the adult, or child, adolescent, and their family.

I maintain my academic affiliation through the Cambridge Health Alliance/Harvard Medical School where I teach in areas including child and adolescent suicide and psychotherapy.  I am a member of and a faculty member at the Boston Psychoanalytic Society and Institute.  In terms of national affiliations, I am on the Psychotherapy Committee of the American Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry and oftentimes present lectures at the organization's annual meeting.

I am happy to discuss your concerns over the phone and determine whether I might be of some help to you.

thanks, Timothy Dugan, M.D.
