I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who works in a private practice setting.  I have worked with children, adolescents and families for 10 years.  I have worked in outpatient, hospital, school and residential settings.  I have a Bachelors Degree in Psychology and a Masters degree in Social Work specializing in children and families.  I am a member of the National Association of Social Workers, the Illinois Society for Clinical Social Work, and the Association for Play Therapy.  I have a Child Welfare Licensed as well as have been certified in working with Sexually Aggressive Children and Youth.  I specialize in working with children and adolescents with issues including but not limited to: sexually aggressive behavior, victims of abuse, behavioral disorders including Disruptive Behavior Disorder, Conduct Disorder and Oppositional Defiant Disorder, Mood Disorders such as Major Depressive Disorder, Bi-polar Disorder and Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, Attention Deficit Disorder, Anxiety Disorders, school performance problems, self-harming behavior, Autism Spectrum Disorders, Developmental and Learning Disorders, teen pregnancy, parenting problems, grief and loss issues, and Adjustment Disorder.  I utilize the following treatment options: Individual therapy with children, adolescents and adults as well as family and group therapy, Cognitive Behavioral therapy, art therapy, play therapy, Psychodynamic therapy, Family Systems therapy, Solution Focused Brief therapy, life skills and social skills development, anger management, conflict resolution and relaxation therapy.  I also conduct Mental Health Assessments and Psycho Social Evaluations.  I offer weekend and late night hours.   Initial visits will include developing a therapeutic relationship by discussing current issues, going over confidentiality and discussing therapy expectations from the client as well as the therapist.  The office is handicapped accessible.
