I provide individual and couples counseling to adults in a collaborative, interactive, and strengths-based manner. I help clients clarify their personal needs and goals, and provide tools that allow them to make desired changes and live more fulfilling and connected lives.
I will follow your lead when determining how much structure to provide in session. My areas of specialization include mood and anxiety disorders, stress, relationship problems, interpersonal communication, trauma, and cultural issues.
I received my graduate degree from the University of Chicago. I received my clinical training at Northwestern University’s Stone Institute of Psychiatry and at Pilsen Little Village Community Mental Health Center. I then completed a post-graduate fellowship at Rush University Medical Center, with an emphasis on conducting therapy for depression and anxiety. I am trained in empirically validated treatments such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) and Interpersonal Psychotherapy (IPT) as well as psychodynamic approaches.
