"I can't thank you enough. Your web site is such an incredible resource. I only wish I had found it earlier..."

Irene A.

"I have to say that I am most impressed with your site. As I told you I had "googled" and "yahooed" for this information but found nothing that compared to your database... My search was becoming very stressful and I wish to thank you for relieving that stress."

Janet S.

Margaret Kurzman, LCSW

Last Updated: 01/02/2012

Licensed Clinical Social Worker

As a psychotherapist,  I am interactive and relate in a forthright, supportive and focused manner.  You set the goals, and I listen carefully, helping  you see yourself  more clearly and providing ways to start changing old patterns. It is important that you feel safe entering into this very personal exploration and that you sense an active teamwork with me as we go forward.

My approach to each person is different, tailored to your sensitivities, background and goals, and to what encourages you to try new ways of acting and relating.  Although change is highly valued, it is rarely easy and requires considerable patience and effort from both therapist and client.   Conveying my confidence that growth and progress are within your reach, is my job for you, until you believe it yourself.   As a seasoned clinician, I can draw on extensive experience and advanced training to support our work.  My own experience in the art and design fields underlies a love of the creative arts.  I have also worked with people with major disabilities, mental, physical, and sensory.  I am committed to helping you feel freer, stronger, clearer about who you are and about how to direct your life more effectively.
