"I can't thank you enough. Your web site is such an incredible resource. I only wish I had found it earlier..."

Irene A.

"I have to say that I am most impressed with your site. As I told you I had "googled" and "yahooed" for this information but found nothing that compared to your database... My search was becoming very stressful and I wish to thank you for relieving that stress."

Making the decision to go to therapy can often be difficult, but it can also provide you with tremendous relief and support. I believe in the healing power of human relationships, and that at its essence, therapy is about making meaningful contact with another person. The bond which develops over time between client and therapist has a unique healing capacity. I use therapy to help you develop insight to better understand and ultimately change emotional, behavioral, and relational patterns that can get in  the way of your happiness and fulfillment. I provide a space for internal reflection, a place to heal wounds and a place to learn to feel and be whole. Gaining a true understanding of oneself, that which is both deeply felt as well as thought through, can lead to profound changes in how you experience yourself, your relationships, and your life.

My specialty is working with people who experience stress from anxiety, depression, relationship issues, life transitions, chronic pain, and/or are in the process of coming to terms with difficult and traumatic life experiences. I work mainly from psychodynamic and analytic perspectives while integrating other methods according to your needs. I often combine relational psychodynamic talk therapy and adjunct techniques, i.e., breathwork, guided imagery, mindfulness -- all used within the context of the therapy relationship.

Many people find that although they came in to work on a particular problem, not only is that better, but they also experience many positive changes that they never could have anticipated.  My approach helps you to not only address immediate symptoms, problems and crises but also fosters the positive growth that makes a satisfying life possible.
