"I can't thank you enough. Your web site is such an incredible resource. I only wish I had found it earlier..."

Irene A.

"I have to say that I am most impressed with your site. As I told you I had "googled" and "yahooed" for this information but found nothing that compared to your database... My search was becoming very stressful and I wish to thank you for relieving that stress."

Janet S.

Robin DeBates, MSW

Last Updated: 05/25/2012

Licensed Independent Clinical Social Work Associate

Although social work provides broad training enabling me to assist with a wide variety of life situations, I have chosen specialties in the following areas:

  • adolescent and pre-teen concerns (I like working with “angry teens”.)
  • Asperger’s and High Functioning Autism
  • crisis intervention and stabilization
  • victims and survivors of traumatic events
  • activists, hackers, and makers
  • gifted and talented youth and adults

I mostly work with youth ages 8 and up (though have worked with children as young as 4), individual adults, and the families of these people. I hold space for groups, though do not offer couples counseling or marital therapy at this time.

I insist that my practice locations meet or exceed ADA standards for universal accessibility. I sign at a beginning conversational level of American Sign Language and actively pursue greater fluency in ASL. Clients describe me as poly and kink friendly.

Nugget, my golden retriever service dog usually accompanies me in my practice. If you have allergies or other dog-related concerns, please let me know in advance so we can effectively accommodate both of us.
