"I can't thank you enough. Your web site is such an incredible resource. I only wish I had found it earlier..."

Irene A.

"I have to say that I am most impressed with your site. As I told you I had "googled" and "yahooed" for this information but found nothing that compared to your database... My search was becoming very stressful and I wish to thank you for relieving that stress."

Janet S.

Last Updated: 01/14/2012

Couple, Family and Individual Therapist; Supervisor/Teacher of post graduate clinicians

I see therapy as a process of discovery. What interests me is the patterns that occur in our lives and how to shift emotions, thinking, communication and behavior so that we can be most satisfied with our lives. I want to help you turn challenges into opportunities for growth. One of the most important aspects of counseling is creating the space to reflect so you can see possibilities that were not evident before.

I will help you clarify your intentions and meet your goals.  My style is to be both supportive and direct. Ideas about how couples and families work is a specialty I bring to support growth and change even when there is one person in the room.

My thinking has been influenced by training in social work, family therapy, psychology, organizational development, recovery orientations and ancient healing traditions. I am well grounded in dealing with many problems including trauma and relationship work, have Level 2 EMDR training and am a Level 2 Lifeforce Yoga practitioner, integrating mindfulness and breathing practices when appropriate.

I work with adolescents and adults off all kinds. I am interested in the myriad ways there are to live a good life.

I invite you talk with me a bit to see if it makes sense to schedule a session.  I see clients in Watertown, MA and can be reached by phone at 617-924-9255 or by email at liz@familytherapytrainingboston.com
