"I can't thank you enough. Your web site is such an incredible resource. I only wish I had found it earlier..."

Irene A.

"I have to say that I am most impressed with your site. As I told you I had "googled" and "yahooed" for this information but found nothing that compared to your database... My search was becoming very stressful and I wish to thank you for relieving that stress."

Janet S.

Laura Dale Bykofsky, LCSW-R, ACSW, CEAP, SAP, SAE

Last Updated: 04/30/2012

Licensed Clinical Social Worker

Certified Employee Assistance Professional

For more than 23 years, I have been providing psychotherapy to children, adolescents, adults and families. I recognize that knowing you need help is not the same as knowing what kind of help you need. My role is to facilitate that process with you;to provide the guidance, support, and collaboration that will enable us to identify how you can most effectively reach your personal goals and improve your quality of life. As we move through that process, you can rely on me to be honest, forthright and compassionate;to work with you side by side as you face the challenges ahead.

As a generalist, my experience is broad and comprehensive. My areas of clinical specialty include depression, anxiety,OCD, addiction and trauma. I am skilled in working with children, adolescents and families. I use a variety of approaches, and find cognitive behavioral therapy to be extremely effective.

I utilize a team approach and collaborate regularly with schools, physicians and community service agencies to achieve optimal outcomes. I am an advocate of the family systems approach, especially when working with children and adolescents. I offer flexible scheduling and participate with most major insurance carriers and employee assistance programs.
