"I can't thank you enough. Your web site is such an incredible resource. I only wish I had found it earlier..."

Irene A.

"I have to say that I am most impressed with your site. As I told you I had "googled" and "yahooed" for this information but found nothing that compared to your database... My search was becoming very stressful and I wish to thank you for relieving that stress."

Janet S.

Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker with 27 yrs. of experience. Office in Arlington.  A holistic and compassionate  approach.

“Searching for a therapist can seem daunting, particularly in the midst of a life transition or when unresolved issues from the past are affecting present day living. I offer a resiliency model of therapy that focuses on strengths, builds awareness and teaches tools to move through life's challenges more easily and quickly. Finding a safe place to talk about personal concerns and those feelings held closest to the heart can be the beginning of change. Providing therapy for 27 years has been an honor. Watching others' strength and courage, as well as the ability to heal never cease to amaze me...

My clinical specialties include women's issues, trauma recovery, transitional life issues, eating and body image concerns, addictions, adult children of alcoholics and mental illness, depression, anxiety and relationship issues.

A variety of approaches are available with careful attention paid to what an individual requests and finds helpful.  Each therapy is uniquely and respectfully designed to follow a person's needs and changes over the course of time, as growth and awareness increase.  Some of the approaches offered are relational therapy, psychodynamic therapy, mind-body therapies, Internal Family Systems, cognitive-behavioral therapy and relaxation/meditation.

Please feel free to call or email me with questions about myself and my clinical practice and to schedule an appointment.  I can be reached by phone at 781/641-1029 or by email at clbenowitz@comcast.net ~

I greatly look forward to hearing from you!
