"I can't thank you enough. Your web site is such an incredible resource. I only wish I had found it earlier..."

Irene A.

"I have to say that I am most impressed with your site. As I told you I had "googled" and "yahooed" for this information but found nothing that compared to your database... My search was becoming very stressful and I wish to thank you for relieving that stress."

Janet S.

Psychotherapist, Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Certified EMDR Therapist, Credentialed Alcoholism and Substance Abuse Counselor

Being frustrated and unhappy tells us that things are out of balance.  If you feel trapped by anxiety, worry, addiction, and/or depression, please trust that feeling better is possible.

Your therapy work should be uniquely developed for your personal situation.  There are various techniques and therapies that I incorporate into our sessions to support your growth.  I can explain why certain patterns seem to repeat themselves in your life.  I will teach you coping techniques and make suggestions to help you improve your situations.  I will ask questions, offer feedback, and help you connect the dots.

Some of the techniques I work with come from the areas of cognitive behavioral therapy, EFT, 12 step philosophy, EMDR, mind/body exercises, psychodynamic and family systems theory.  I hold special credentials and certification to work with people who have had trauma in their lives and together we work towards shifting it away.  I also with people and/or their family members who struggle with addiction as well as with mental illness.  Living with that pain is too much to carry alone.

My 30+ years of experience in working with others as well as on myself brings a universal perspective into the sessions which validates that life is challenging - and that we are not alone in searching for inner peace to quiet our very active minds.  I will help you identify anxieties and depressive symptoms that weigh you down, and to better accept that the decisions you made in the past were made with good intent at the time.  Above all, I will always be honest with you.

When you are done with treatment you will have more self knowledge, understanding, and serenity than you have had in your past.  Your future decisions will better balance your life.  You deserve that;  you are worth it.
