"I can't thank you enough. Your web site is such an incredible resource. I only wish I had found it earlier..."

Irene A.

"I have to say that I am most impressed with your site. As I told you I had "googled" and "yahooed" for this information but found nothing that compared to your database... My search was becoming very stressful and I wish to thank you for relieving that stress."

Janet S.

Barbara Moncrieff, LCSW

Last Updated: 03/27/2012

Licensed Clinical Social Worker

Are you struggling with depression, anxiety, addiction, work stress, or relationship conflict? Are you experiencing a transition such as marriage, childrearing, divorce, or job change? Do you feel isolated and unsure of how to move forward? It is difficult to deal with these issues alone and therapy can help. Choosing a therapist is an important decision, and it should be someone with whom you feel comfortable. I view therapy as an interactive process in which we work together to identify problems and find solutions. Therapy can provide you with the skills you need to make real changes in your life.

My clinical experience includes extensive training in the treatment of anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, and drug and alcohol addiction. My training also includes a five year clinical position at UCSD Outpatient Psychiatric Services. I work with adults of all ages who are experiencing difficulty with psychiatric disorders, life transitions, relationship issues, chronic pain and chronic illness, or issues of grief and loss. My goal is to provide a safe environment in which change can occur.

I would be happy to speak with you to determine whether I might be of help. I am a panel provider for a number of insurances and offer a sliding scale out-of-pocket fee for individuals who do not have insurance.”
