Terms and Conditions for Use

The National Association of Social Workers (“NASW”) and HelpNet, Inc. ("HelpNet", the company that maintains and operates the HelpPRO® database service of human service providers), grant to you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the information contained in the National Social Worker Finder (“NSWF”) database. HelpNet grants to you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use its HelpPRO proprietary search software (the “Software”).

The information contained in the NSWF database is provided by social workers who have identified themselves as licensed in the state in which they practice. NASW and HelpNet expressly disclaim responsibility for the accuracy and completeness of all such information, and for any errors resulting from the use of such information. This database is provided "as is." NASW and HelpNet make no representations or warranties, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose.

Always obtain references from authoritative independent sources regarding any provider's credentials and professional reputation before engaging the provider's services. Do not rely solely on this or any other database.

In no event shall NASW or HelpNet be liable (a) for indirect, special, incidental or consequential damages of any sort, whether arising in tort, contract or otherwise, even if NASW or HelpNet has been informed of the possibility of such damages, or (b) for any claim by any other party. This limitation of liability shall not apply to liability for death or personal injury to the extent applicable law prohibits such limitation. Furthermore, some states do not allow the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages, so this limitation may not apply to you.

The NSWF database is ©2005 National Association of Social Workers and HelpNet, Inc. The Software is ©1995-2005 HelpNet, Inc. All rights reserved. Data may not be duplicated in hard copy or machine-readable form without the prior written authorization of the owners. Under no circumstances may copies produced under this provision be offered for sale or resale. Title, ownership rights, and intellectual property rights in and to the NSWF database and its contents shall remain in NASW and HelpNet. Title, ownership rights, and intellectual property rights in and to the Software shall remain in HelpNet and/or its suppliers. HelpPRO is a registered service mark of HelpNet, Inc. Rev. 8/05
