Personal:
I have been a therapist for over 25 years in the Boston area and have worked with a large variety of clients. I can be warm and direct as a therapist but tend to shape my therapy style to the needs of the client. I have experience working in cognitive behavioral, psychodynamic and family systems models.

Professional Experience:
I began my career working as a master's level psychotherapist in 1980 with young adults. From 1980-1991 I worked for a small therapy practice in Boston while I got my master's degree and then my doctorate in psychology. During my doctoral program I began seeing children and their families in psychotherapy in addition to seeing adults. My work with children has significantly informed my work with adults by adding a developmental perspective.

Currently I divide my time between my private practice and clinic work. In my private practice I see adult clients (ages 20-60) in individual and couple's therapy. Their issues include depression, anxiety, marital and relationship problems, job stress, parenting, history of trauma, addictions, and many others.
