Are you currently:

  • suffering from anxiety, stress, depression, or grief?
  • experiencing relationship problems such as marital or relationship discord?
  • facing work issues?
  • having difficulty adjusting to medical problems?
  • undergoing treatment for cancer?

I can help. I use problem solving and cognitive behavioral approaches as well as self soothing techniques to manage anxiety. I also have expertise in hypnosis and visualization to help manage specific issues such as stress reduction, smoking, insomnia, tinnitus, misophonia, phobias, test anxiety and weight control. I utilize hypnosis for visualization as well as relaxation for clients who have cancer.

I have extensive experience providing therapy for a wide range of individual, relationship and substance abuse problems as well as special expertise in treating issues stemming from extra marital affairs. I often do professional presentations on the topic of infidelity and am available for speaking engagements.

Besides my clinical experience, I am an Assistant Professor in the Department of Psychiatry at Loyola Medical School where I teach and have supervised both psychiatric residents and social work interns. I have a number of publications on such areas as stress, depression, relationship issues and post traumatic stress.

To see if my therapeutic style would make a good fit, please call me at (847) 948-8696 for a brief phone consultation at no charge.
