Credentials and Certifications:

Many of my clients are individuals and couples who are committed to becoming more self-aware, and comfortable in their own skin, motivated to work toward their personal and professional goals, whatever they may be. In my executive coaching practice, I work with individuals and organizations to develop employees' potential for career adjustment and advancement within and outside of their workplace. Teaching at USMA awakened a long-held belief in the needs of military families, work-family issues, and the relationship between an individual and his/her work environment, from small businesses to large, highly structured settings.
As a counseling psychologist, I think about individuals having current issues rather than being "ill". Clients are deeply embedded in the contexts and environments in which they work, live, and love. Diagnosis is less important than helping people develop coping strategies individually and within their families and organizations.
In addition to doing individual and couples psychotherapy, I administer and interpret individual assessments. I have been involved in teaching assessment, supervising graduate students in counseling and organizational psychology and executive coaching for years. that experience enables me to provide individual/group supervision for licensed practitioners.
