True healing, as opposed to simply coping, requires more than talk.  Healing requires connection.  And the processing (once and for all) of the incompletely processed sources of distress in our lives.

It requires combining talk therapy with somatic and neurological therapies that resolve trauma so that you can stop feeling it, thinking about and talking about it.  State of the art therapy has evolved over the last 20 years to combine insight-oriented talk therapy with somatic work and trauma resolution methods that engage the body and the mind.  With these transformative and truly healing approaches - Grounding, Meditation, EFT Tapping, Progressive Counting, Somatic focusing - it is possible to finally heal, make peace with your Self and live a meaningful life.

Women have always faced unique internal and external obstacles along their path to healing and wholeness.  I am committed to the emotional, psychological and spiritual well-being of women of all sizes and shapes, races and religions, sexual orientations, gender identifications, social standings and life experiences.

My practice and clinical skills have developed into specialties in Family of Origin Issues, Binge Eating and Emotional Eating, Coming Out Later in Life and other LGBTQ Issues, Relationship Issues, Work and Career Conflict, Trauma Resolution, Anxiety, Depression and Stress - all from a distinctly Woman-centered perspective.

After reviewing my website and determining that my clinical practices, fees, policies and procedures are all a good fit for you, please call (770-313-7768) or email me (melissa@melissalesterolson.com) to arrange a brief phone consultations.

Warm regards,

Melissa
