American Assoc. for Marriage and Family Therapy (AAMFT), Clinical Member

For more than 15 years I have enjoyed helping children and adults overcome the challenges from anxiety, panic attacks, and OCD. One of the most successful treatments for anxiety disorders is CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy). CBT is a form of treatment that is structured, involves active participation and teaches skills so clients can help themselves. Cognitive Behavioral Therapy is considered the "blue ribbon" intervention for anxiety, OCD and depression, in both children and adults. It is the primary treatment approach used in my practice.

Left untreated, anxiety can prevent children from making friends, joining sports, or participating in other school or social activities. Many people suffering from anxiety and depression feel embarrassed, ashamed or angry.

However, help is available! Research has found that clients participating in therapy using CBT have a 70-80% response rate and maintain their improvement over time. Using skills that clients learn in session, they face their fears and move on with their lives. You can too!
