My name is Andrea Razook a mental health therapist and clinical social worker based in Bellevue, WA. I have been practicing in Washington state since 2013 and I have worked in the social work field for over 10 years in the US as well as in Central and South America.
How we interact with the world is shaped by many things, our childhood, family, caregivers, and environment. Sometimes the shape of the world can seem dark, scary or confusing. I specialize in helping adults, children, adolescents, and families understand how these shapes can impact their daily lives and how to recreate these shapes for the future. I love my job because I get to help people reclaim a sense of hope and strength as they rediscover their identities and make deep connections in their lives. I also provide unique services to address cultural identity and intergenerational trauma. Outside of direct therapy, I have worked in the in the social field for over 10 years in Florida and Latin America.
I am trained in Eye Movement Desensization and Reprocessing (EMDR), CBT, DBT, as also use existential psychotherapy and Gestalt techiques in my practice. I also work deeply with the relationships among family, culture, and sense of self.
