I am a Licensed Certified Social Worker-Clinical, with 30+ years of clinical experience, helping people like you. In my tranquil Frederick, Maryland office, I work with Adults, Young adults, Adolescents, and Pre-teens.  I also accept a limited number of children, ages 7 to 11.  I provide treatment for Individuals, Couples,  Families and Groups. Treatment Specialties include depression, post-partum depression, eating disorders, relationship issues, effective communication skills, life transitions, anxiety, substance abuse, grief and loss (including pregnancy loss), sexual abuse and PTSD/trauma (past and present), and issues in the workplace.  I work with clients struggling with the eating-disordered behaviors of Anorexia Nervosa, Bulimia Nervosa, Mid-life Eating Disorders and Binge Eating Disorder.  Family-Based Treatment (FBT) is a treatment option offered to families of pre-teens/teenagers struggling with the eating-disordered behaviors of Anorexia Nervosa and Bulimia Nervosa.  FBT, also known as the Maudsley Approach (Maudsley Hospital, England, 1980's), is an evidence-based outpatient treatment with the potential for a high rate of success.  Parents (as well as siblings), are key players in the recovery of their son's/daughter's eating-disordered behaviors of Anorexia Nervosa and Bulimia Nervosa.  Of those 30+ years of clinical experience, I have 25+ years of EAP experience, including working for an independent Employee Assistance Program.  I have been told my approach is warm, gentle, and effective. I am a Maryland Board of Social Work Examiners Approved Supervisor.
