Anita Laviola has been a Licensed Clinical Social Worker since 1991.  My specialties are in substance abuse issues, co-dependency and family effects; anxiety/PTSD; sexual assault; depression; trauma; grief and loss; eating disorders and other compulsive disorders--shopping addictions, debtor issues--family therapy and negotiating life transitions. I work with children, adolescents and adults in individual, couples, family and groups.  Working with mothers and fathers with their teenagers to minimize the tensions around issues of adoldescense, independence, dating, future planning is of particular interest to me. Seeing people's transformations, growth, becoming resilient and free to live their lives as fully as they want, is my goal. As an artist, I understand the complex dynamics of creativity and blockages to one's process, as well as, this being a vehicle to personal growth.  Trained in EMDR, NLP and EFT for use in trauma resolution, substance abuse, panic attacks and anxiety. Chemical sensitivities, allergy and asthma related issues are a focus of mine.

Please do not wear fragrances or scented body oils for your sessions as there are many, including myself, with sensitivities and asthma at our practice sites. Thank you for your understanding and consideration for this request.
